Bryan grew up fishing the rivers and lakes of the Texas Hill Country, and the beaches of Texas. Working as a Marine Biologist off the coast of Alaska allowed him opportunities to fish many of the rivers and lakes of the Pacific Northwest as well as international waters. Bryan spent more than 1,000 days at sea, always eager to see what the nets would pull up.

While not at sea, Bryan learned and studied the art of fly fishing. After hanging up his raingear, he moved back to Texas and opened a fishing rod and reel repair shop in Helotes. He has been building rods as a hobby for 11 years and doing it professionally for 2 years. His work combines classic style with the most innovative and modern materials.
