Theresa Paden is known for unique paintings that feature vivid colors and expressive brush work. She is an animal lover and avid horse woman who has a passion for painting horses, longhorns, wildlife, and people of the West. She is dedicated to helping animals and donates a portion of all of her sales to horse rescues and other animal rescue organizations. Inspired by the Fauves, she mixes bright colors and intense light with her expressive style to capture the heart and soul of her subjects. Cowgirl Magazine said of her work, “Paden’s paintings are, in a word, sentient. Mixed into the bright, bold pigments is a feeling of being in the physical and spiritual presence of her subjects.” Theresa says, “I approach each canvas with a feeling of adventure and excitement. My hope is that people will be energized by the colors and textures in my work and feel an emotional connection to the animals and people I portray.”

Paden earned her BFA from Art Center College of Design, Pasadena, California, in 1983. Before turning her focus to fine art she was Senior Art Director at the NFL, where she designed Super Bowl logos, posters, tickets, and VIP invitations.

Theresa’s paintings are collected world-wide and have been featured in Southwest Art Magazine, Western Art Collector, Cowgirl Magazine, Country Life Magazine, and Horses in Art. Paden's work has been shown at Western Masters in Great Falls, Montana; San Dimas Western Art Show, San Dimas, California; Western Spirit Art Show and Sale in Cheyenne, Wyoming; Mountain Oyster Club Western Art Show and Sale, Tucson, Arizona; Cattlemen's Western Art Show and Sale, Paso Robles, California; SLO-Poke Art Rodeo at Seaside Gallery in Pismo Beach, California; and Traveling the West Art Show at Southwest Gallery in Dallas, Texas.
